USA Today ranks UK #3 in Preseason Poll

The Kentucky Wildcats are ranked #3 in the nation by USA Today in their preseason poll. Heading up the poll is #1 Indiana, and #2 Louisville. Both teams were dispatched by the Wildcats last season on their way to winning the school’s 8th National Championship. If there was any doubt where the heart of college basketball is, take a look at the location of those three schools. Two of them in the Bluegrass, and one just across the border. It should be a fun time to be a fan of college basketball and be surrounded by the best programs in the nation all around us.

Also joining the ‘Cats from the SEC is the Florida Gators at #10, and the Missouri Tigers at #17.  In addition to arch-rival Louisville and the conference foes, three non-conference opponents also made the list. #8 Duke, #18 Baylor, and #23 Notre Dame. Indiana received 21 first place votes, while the ‘Cards and ‘Cats took home 5 each. Don’t forget, Kentucky will hold it’s annual Blue-White game on Oct.24th at 7pm.
