Update on Mark Lyons situation

Today we sat down with Rick Broering of the MusketeerReport.com to talk UK recruiting and more specifically the Mark Lyons situation. Lyons is a combo guard that played his first three seasons at Xavier. With just his senior year remaining, the guard and head coach Chris Mack deciding to part ways.
Rumors out there have Lyons looking at Arizona, Kansas and Kentucky as potential landing spots, but Broering says that this talk is all a little premature. He says that Lyons has not scheduled any visits as of yet and is concentrating on finishing up his final exams. The rumors of visits to KU, UK and Arizona are all just speculation by his AAU coach.
He did however say that UK is a very probably destination for Lyons. His former coach Sean Miller has a good chance to land him at Arizona, but Broering says that he may not want to move out west because he is an east coast guy. The move to Kentucky makes sense because of their location, the opportunity to win a championship and Calipari’s ability to get point guards to the NBA.
He also addressed rumors that Anthony Bennett has privately given Calipari a call and committed to UK. He said he didn’t believe that it is a done deal, meaning no silent verbal. He did say that Bennett would be a great piece to add and that it wouldn’t surprise him a bit. He called UK the leader to get Bennett.
