Rondo Returns

Fresh off his SUSPENSION, Rajon Rondo returned in Game 3 of the 2012 NBA Playoffs with redemption on his mind. The Celtics and the Hawks went in to overtime and needed a big contribution from the former Wildcat point guard. He didn’t disappoint finishing with 17 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists – his 7th career Playoff Triple Double!

Only Magic Johnson with 18, Oscar Robertson with 8 and Wilt Chamberlain with 8 have more playoff triple doubles through their first 75 playoff games… pretty elite company.

Oh yeah, Rondo didn’t have a point in the 1st half of the game, but roared back in the second and came up big in O.T. scoring the first two buckets leading the Celtics past the Hawks 90-84. Celtics lead the series 2-1.
