Highlands High School quarterback, State Champion, and future Kentucky Wildcat Pat Towles has another title to add to his name: Kentucky Mr. Football. In no great surprise, the future Kentucky signal caller was named as the state’s best football player Thursday evening.
In his senior year, Towles threw for 3,820 yards and 42 touchdowns this season as Highlands won their 21st state championship and fourth in a row. Towles has been at the helm for three of those championship runs.
Even with Kentucky’s struggles this season, Towles remains firmly committed to Joker Phillips and the Wildcats. Towles was also named the Gatorade Player of the Year in Kentucky as well.
