Parker & Williams no longer considering ‘Cats

Jabari Parker has seemed to never been focused on Kentucky’s radar. I’ve never heard any rumblings of any kind that he would ever be in blue. With Parker forming together his official in-home visits, many felt that Kentucky was still being considered but may not receive an invite to the Parker home. In retrospect, John Calipari doesn’t seem to be wasting his time with recruits that he doesn’t believe will come to Kentucky. The UK head coach was in Chicago just last week to meet with 2014 recruits Jahlil Okafor and Cliff Alexander, but never dropped in to see Jabari Parker. In fact, Calipari has never visited Parker at all
With Parker, there are a couple of reasons why Calipari & Co. decided not to push the issue with the Chicago star. Since very early in the recruitment process, Parker has been heavily involved with Michigan State and Duke. Both schools seem to be the favorites for his services. The other reason being, Kentucky has other options at his position. A reclassified Andrew Wiggins could fill the void easily.
Troy Williams was almost a ‘Cat in the spring before reopening his recruitment. Williams was at one time a big target for the Wildcats. Now, it seems that Williams no longer holds a scholarship offer from UK. Williams’ possible future destinations now include UNC, Indiana, Louisville, Alabama, Ohio State and Arkansas.
