NBA Summer League Update

lambbucks2 300x225 NBA Summer League Update

In the feature match-up for UK fans last night, Doron Lamb’s Milwauke Bucks and Darius Miller’s New Orleans Hornets faced off. The Bucks downed the Hornets, 76-68, and Lamb outplayed Miller as well. Lamb played in just over 34 minutes and scored a team-high 20 points on 6-12 shooting. He was 8-9 from the line and 0-2 from deep. This line indicates what I have been trying to tell people and that is that Lamb is much more than a spot-up shooter. He also had four rebounds, but did not record an assist.

After struggling in their first game, Miller was much better against the Bucks. He had 11 points on 4-10 shooting, was 0-4 from deep, and recorded three rebounds. He played just over 25 minutes. Foul trouble was an issue for Miller as he finished with four fouls. In the opener vs. Portland (L, 85-82) he had three points and three steals in 17 minutes.

Anthony Davis, of course, is not playing with the Hornets because he is preparing for the 2012 Summer Olympics.
