More Preseason Love for UK Freshman

Nerlens Noel and Alex Poythress have received even more preseason love from CBS.com.

While there are no Wildcats in the 1st All-America Team, Nerlens Noel makes the list for 2nd Team. CBS describes Noel’s comparison’s to Anthony Davis, and describes the freshman phenom as being as defensively dominant as Davis but nowhere near the offensive player.

Nerlens Noel and Alex Poythress both make appearances on the All-Freshman Team. CBS notes Alex Poythress could even earn 1st Team All America honors before everything is said and done. Poythress is one of the reasons why Calipari and UK will not miss all those draft picks.

Archie Goodwin makes an appearance on the All-Freshman 2nd Team. CBS states that Goodwin is a better prospect than Doron Lamb and Darius Miller, and they were both in last June’s NBA Draft. Personally, I feel like those are two very big shoes to fill. Very few can shoot the long ball, or even a mid-range jumper better than Doron Lamb. Miller’s high basketball IQ will be hard to replace.
