Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has been selected with the 2nd overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. He was chosen by the Charlotte Bobcats.
Michael’s place as the second overall pick and Anthony Davis’ position at first is a history-making event. Never before have the top two picks in the draft been from the same team. Rumors that Kidd-Gilchrist was sliding down the draft board had many thinking Michael would move outside the top five, making this pick a wonderful surprise.
