Is Marcus Lee next for 2013?

With four commitments in the 2013 class, the Kentucky Wildcats have claimed and runaway from everyone in the recruiting rankings. Three of the four players that have signed are Top-10 recruits. Among the abundance of talent at Big Blue Madness, California native Marcus Lee was taking in his first introduction to the Big Blue Nation. Since Lee has trimmed his list of schools down to just California and Kentucky, many wonder where he may be leaning. Everything that I have gathered has either been a toss up, or perhaps a tiny lean towards California. The Golden Bears do have the advantage of being Lee’s home state, but the Kentucky Wildcats have much more to offer.
Marcus Lee’s versatility at 6’9” allows him to guard any front-court position. Add the fact that he has an incredible dedication to defense confirms he would be a fit with the Kentucky Wildcats and John Calipari. On his visit to BBM, Lee tweeted out a picture of himself along with the Harrison’s, James Young, and Kentucky native Derek Willis. Lee captioned the picture as “That’s just scary”. Is he quietly sending a message to the BBN? He obviously has the idea of what it would be like to play with those guys in his head.
Lee was amazed by Big Blue Madness, as we all were. Now, he is making waves in the recruiting world because he may be close to making his decision. I think ‘Cats fans have seen this scenario play out before, and we like it. With the commitment of Marcus Lee, Kentucky would add another Top-30 prospect into the fold and continue their dominance in the recruiting rankings. The scenario would be perfect if Lee tweeted out he will be making his decision on ESPNU, Thursday at 5pm. Perhaps the best class ever? We’ll have to wait and see on that one.
