Here’s a breakdown of the numbers.
Both teams played extremely weak non-conference, schedules. The exception being Miami did play Florida and was swept by the Gators. Kentucky obviously played Florida and went 1-2. Miami did play 10 mid-week games against Top 100 competition, but I’m not sure how you can penalize teams for their mid-week schedules when teams do not travel more than 2 or 3 hours for obvious reasons.
I’m still dumbfounded by the whole thing. We’ll find out where Kentucky will go at noon today.
