Two days after the Cats downed Mississippi State, they fell to the Bulldogs, 2-1, and were bounced from the SEC Tournament. The Cats won two games in the SEC Tourney for the first time since 1996 and their fourth place finish is their best in the modern era.
After losing their final four regular season games, the Cats bounced back nicely in the SEC Tournament, defeating Ole Miss and Mississippi State. They allowed just three runs in the tournament, but need to get their Bats going if they want to make a run in the big dance.
They find out today whether or not they will host, which they are likely to do, and the entire field will be set on Memorial Day.
