Calipari has dogs, not Cats

For whatever reason, college sports coaches like comparing their players to cats and dogs. The head football coach of the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers has been searching for dog-type players for his football program. As the basketball season grows nearer, John Calipari has compared his freshman point guard Marquis Teague to a pitbull. He literally said that.
“He looks like a pit-bull dog right now,” said Calipari.
Now, I don’t believe he means that quite literally, but who knows? Maybe Teague has been playing defense on all fours? Or maybe Cal is alluding to Teague’s tenacity on the defensive end and hard nosed play? The latter? You’re probably right. And Teague’s going to be a good one. He’ll earn his way into Kentucky fans’ hearts, the part reserved for Wildcat point guards, the same way that John Wall, Brandon Knight, and Jarrod Polson have.
If Coastal Carolina Football Coach David Bennett had Calipari’s recruiting prowess, he may be able to recruit some dogs for his Chanticleer squad. Someone get this guy some dogs.
