Here’s the order – in case you were wondering…

1.) New Orleans Hornets
2.) Charlotte Bobcats
3.) Washington Wizards
4.) Cleveland Cavaliers
5.) Sacramento Kings
6.) Portland Trailblazers
7.) Golden State Warriors
8.) Toronto Raptors
9.) Detroit Pistons
10.) New Orleans Hornets
11.) Portland Trailblazers
12.) Milwaukee Bucks
13.) Phoenix Suns
14.) Houston Rockets

According to the NBA Draft Express Wildcats will be all over the top 14.

Anthony Davis – #1 to the New Orleans Hornets

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist – #3 to the Washington Wizards

Terrence Jones – #15 to the Philadelphia 76ers (just for good measure)

Three other Cats will be drafted and here’s where they may land:

Marquis Teague – #20 to the Denver Nuggets

Doron Lamb – #33 to the Cleveland Cavaliers

Darius Miller – #34 to the Cleveland Cavaliers

Can you believe MKG will have a chance to play with John Wall? How cool would that be? If the Wizards are somehow able to land either Davis or Kidd-Gilchrist I will become the world’s biggest Wizards fan, no doubt about it. Wall and Kidd-Gilchrist in transition together… Look Out! I’m getting goosebumps just thinking about it!

Or, maybe he falls to #5. Unlikely, but then he can be a nice scoring option along with Demarcus Cousins and Tyreke Evans. Come on Bobcats… make the wrong pick and take Bradley Beal.

Well it’s “unofficially” official, Anthony Davis will be a New Orleans Hornet. The NBA Draft Lottery was tonight and the ping pong ball fell the way of the Hornets.

Davis will join a team that is one year removed from the huge Chris Paul trade to the Clippers – a trade that netted the Hornets a lot of good players including former Indiana Hoosier Eric Gordon. Once a memorable place for Davis (Site of this year’s Final Four), New Orleans will now be a place where he can call home.

Plus, maybe he gets to have his name announced by this man:

NBA Draft is June 28 at 7:00

Four Weeks and One Day.

Oh, and they already have a New Orleans Hornets logo with a unibrow.

Game 7 between the surprising Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics was a solid back and forth match that featured one former Cat hammering in the nails to the Sixers postseason coffin. Rajon Rondo has been everywhere this postseason. Triple-doubles, ejections and now clutch shooting. Rondo took great pleasure in finishing off the Sixers last night by knocking down two key 3-pointers in the closing minutes.

Rondo had NOT hit a 3-pointer in five games up until last night’s 4th quarter (11 total points in the quarter). His clutch play drew a lot of praise, especially from Sixers head coach Doug Collins:

“I don’t look at them as the Big Three. I look at them as the Championship Four.”

“Because if you’re going to leave Rondo out, you’re making a huge mistake.”

Rondo finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists – giving him his 9th career playoff triple-double. In fact, Rondo will have to thank another former Cat for giving him the triple double. In the closing seconds it was a missed Jodie Meeks three that allowed Rondo to get his 10th rebound and secure the triple-double… how about that!

His nine career playoff triple-doubles are tied with Wilt Chamberlain (Hall of Fame) for the 4th most in NBA history. Rondo trails only Magic Johnson (Hall of Fame) with 30, Jason Kidd with 11 and Larry Bird (Hall of Fame) with 10. Rondo also joined Bird as the only Celtics players to record a triple-double in a Game 7… Nice!

Rondo’s Celtics will play the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals starting Monday at 8:30 on ESPN.

If you have been watching the NBA Playoffs (and that may be a big if) then you have noticed how well the Wildcats have been representing Big Blue Nation.

Rajon Rondo has been killing it – 15 points, 13 assists, 6 rebounds and nearly 3 steals a game – leading the Celtics to what could be another Eastern Conference Championship.

Jodie Meeks has been coming off the bench for the Cinderella Sixers so far after starting a good portion of the season. Meeks has seen his playing time climb in Round 2 against Rondo’s Celtics, averaging 5.8 points a game, including 13 points in Game 3.

Enes Kanter had 8 points and 10 rebounds in a 21 point loss to the Spurs. The Spurs swept the Jazz 4-0 in the 1st Round.

Jorts appeared in 4 games for the Knicks and averaged 2 points and 2 rebounds a game, but hustled his butt off.

Kelenna Azubuike got in Game 4 for the Mavs and hit a 3 pointer in the closing minutes.

Daniel Orton went 4-4 from the free-throw line and DeAndre Liggins cheered for the Magic losing in five games to the Pacers.

Nazr Mohammed has set a few picks and grabbed a couple rebounds off the bench for the Thunder… nothing too flashy, but he might be the only one sporting a flashy championship ring this time next month the way OKC has been playing.

But, the surprising star of the playoffs so far for the Cats has been Eric Bledsoe. The second year guard for the Los Angeles Clippers was an impact player off the bench for an up and coming Clipper squad. Bledsoe battled through an early season knee energy and was buried on the depth chart behind a host of veterans for most of the season.

He averaged only 5 points in 16 minutes a game for the regular season. Despite that, the youngster used his combination of speed and power to fight for, and eventually steal playing time from the likes of veterans such as: Randy Foye, Mo Williams, Caron Butler and Nick Young.

Bledsoe averaged 8 points, 2 assists, 2 rebounds and 1 steal a game for his playoff debut. But really shined in round 2 against the potential NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs. The former Cat put up stat lines such as 23 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals in Game 1 and 17 points 4 rebounds and 3 steals in Game 4. He also saw his minutes go up to 23 a game as well. The Clippers were swept by the Spurs, but it was Bledsoe’s effort off the bench that really sparked the Clippers and made the games “respectable”.

If you watched him play in the playoffs he looked unstoppable at times, kind of how he looked playing along side Wall at UK every once in awhile. Now, he has the unbelievable opportunity to play along Chris Paul in L.A. Look for Bledsoe to be a solid 6th man off the bench for the Clippers next season and a real difference maker. Love watching this guy play.

Looks like young Michael will be grabbing his first pair of new kicks here shortly. I have a feeling we will be seeing many new editions of the Kidd-Gilchrist collection throughout the years!
